■ For Those Who Wish to Compete ■
The 15th Savate Assaut Tokyo Open will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
We will offer seminars for prospective participants as well as Assaut practice sessions with rules guidance, so please join actively.
Participation requires meeting the required skill level and attendance.
Player Registration Period: From Sun, March 29 – application forms will be distributed at the seminar.
The application form for overseas participants will be available soon.
Application Deadline: End of April
How to Apply: Fill out the application form distributed on March 29 and submit it with the participation fee to JSC Representative Kubota.
Overseas participants: approx. ¥5,000
Tokyo Open Match Format: Asso (Light Contact, Point System)
Match Rules:
Matches follow the Asso competition rules of the International Savate Federation.
Match duration: 3 rounds of 1 minute 30 seconds each, with 1-minute intervals (planned).
Attire:
Top: tank top or tight-fitting shirt
Bottom: long pants or long tights
Choose clothing that is snug and without pockets to prevent shoes or body parts from catching during the match. Shirts must be fully tucked into pants during the match.
Shoes: High-top shoes recommended; shoes with metal parts are not allowed. Secure laces with tape.
Gloves (per International Federation rules):
Under 60kg: 8 oz
60–75kg: 10 oz
75–85kg: 12 oz
Over 85kg: 14 oz
Mouthguard: mandatory; shin guards and headgear: optional (shin guards recommended to prevent injuries).
Weigh-in: Scheduled at the venue on May 10 at 10:00 AM. Pre-weigh-in the day before is under consideration.
